Ataturk became the leader of freedom and enlightenment for all the developing countries who showed the light and changed Turkey for ever and declared, “Peace at Home, Peace Abroad.” Freedom is everything. All Turks everywhere look for is to live as free souls in peace with all of their neighbors, countries as well, and work hard. Ataturk said “Peace in Turkey and peace in the world!” Since then, Turkey never fought unless attacked, and still regrets being in Korea for the sake of NATO, and rejected to participate in WWII and Gulf and Iraq Wars. The Turkish troops are making miracles in the Afghanistan War under the NATO command. Whatever the present government has inherited is embodied in Ataturk’s words and thoughts. Turks hate no nation, yes they criticize, but do not hate. People may write otherwise but it is a lie.
