İktidar, halkın verdiği çok önemli bir sorumluluktur, ancak…   Demokrasilerde muhalefet de en az iktidar kadar önemlidir. Muhalefetin tek amacı iktidarı sınırsızca eleştirmek, onu bir an önce iktidardan uzaklaştırmak olamaz. Muhalefetin esas işlevi, halk yararına icraatlara destek olmak, yanlış yapılıyorsa doğrusunu söylemektir. Yapıcı bir bir muhalefet demokrasinin olmazsa olmazıdır. ***
